Styling Sessions - Shelfie Styling

We're excited to be launching our monthly 'Styling Sessions'

A series of short films & photography showing you how you can transform spaces and areas of your home and garden, using The Interiors Yard products.

Our products are timeless, that we adapt from season to season, so we'll be working our way through these, embracing the seasonal changes and adapting our products accordingly.

We're collaborating with stylist Klara Bromley (@atticbirds) who will be giving her expert advice when it comes to all things styling in your home and garden.

First up... 'Shelfie Styling'.

We all love a good shelfie shuffle and a faff but here are the important factors and top tips from Klara to consider when styling your shelves…

- do away with the obsession for symmetry and don’t be frightened to leave considered space on your shelves to help do away with unwanted clutter.

- think horizontally and well as vertically and work in diagonals to help curate a balance to your shelves.

- add texture and interest by using a mix of objects that can be layered, stacked, grouped and clustered. Work with odd numbers when grouping pieces together and consider different heights for added interest.

- Limiting your colour palette will help to create a sense of cohesion and harmony to your shelves, whilst adding the odd plant or bloom will help soften the edges & add an extra pop of colour where required.
